Soaked Wholewheat Bread
« on: July 12, 2014, 11:47:43 am »
I love my sourdough, but find that you have to be hanging around for a couple of days in order to produce it. So, I have another healthy option for home baked bread. This is particularly suitable for those who don't tolerate grains well. The flour is soaked overnight to make it more easily digestible.

Rather than repeat the whole recipe and photos, I'll link to the recipe on my blog: Soaked Whole Wheat Bread
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

This sounds interesting MJ. I think I may give it a try.

I hope you do, Cookie, it's really lovely. I'm lucky enough to have my own wheat, but it should work fine with ready made wholemeal flour.

MJ,   Love the look of this recipe.   You lucky ducky having your own wheat.

I buy my wheat at the health food store now MJ. I think Dad would have loved to have received the price I pay for it.  ;D ;D ;D I don't grind it for all my breads only a few. I use Laucke pre mix.
