It's the taste that matters Astarra. These sound great. Can't wait to have an oven again.

What a great idea, something different than slapping a sausage in bread and looks much nicer :)

Made some of these for while we are watching the football.  They were a hit.  :)

We call these 'Pig in a Blanket'. Normally done with frankfurts, but sausages would be so much nicer. Thanks for the recipe, I'll be making these soon as I think DH would love these for lunch.

Hey MeganJane,

Oooohhhh now you are talking! Pigs in blankets in the UK are normally sausages wrapped in bacon and then cooked......I am loving the subtle 'breakfast in a roll' Pigs in Thermal Blanket option that this combination could become........

MrsRC2B is checking out this very link as I type so we may well be making a batch of these pretty much as soon as I arrive - these could be a great way to soak up some of the drink whilst watching the Wallabies v All Blacks on Saturday!

Thanks for sharing the recipe.

I had left over pizza dough in the fridge & a pack of 10 pork sausages. Whilst I had the sausages cooking in one pan - I had another pan softening & browning some sliced onions. Divided my dough into 10 squares; big enough to wrap around the sausage. Spread a thin layer of wholegrain mustard on the dough, layered the softened onions, finally adding the sausages and rolling. Delicious! Cross between sausage bun & calzone. They were all eaten  :o

Bought sausages today and put in freezer, will make soon. Tempted to put bacon round first as RTC suggested, and fried onions... So many possibilities.
Thanks BZB
