Gee this would be cheaper than buying it. I use quite a lot of vanilla paste.

I know her website was down yesterday (issues with the hosting company) but apparently it's back up now.

It's really easy AB (it has got to be easy if I can do it).

When you are either starting a new thread or replying you will see the three rows of icons above the white window which you type in.

The top row has B I U, etc.

The second row has a red blotchy thing, then there is a small square with blue on top then the third icon has a round blue thing with a grey square (I am deeply into technical jargon, as you will have realised by now).  Anyway, it is this third icon you want.

In the thread you are working in, type in the word or phrase you want to link to and highlight the word or phrase.

Click on the third icon as described in precise detail above ( ;D ) and you will see that the word / phrase now has a square bracket [ url ] before the word or phrase and [ / url ] after it.

Now you have to go to the URL you want to link to and copy it - for instance on this page at the moment it is http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?action=post;quote=358249;topic=15388.0;num_replies=5;sesc=fdb7694c938b3d19241794bbac0f35d9

Go to the first [url] and insert the = symbol between the l and the ] and paste the URL you have just copied.  You will now have a load of text after the = symbol and before the final square bracket.  It may look confusing, but it all makes sense.  Just as this post looks confusing ... and it probably is!  But that's all you need to do.

Once you have done it a couple of times you will realise just how very simple it is.

Actually, after having read this I am sorely tempted to just scrap it as I am not sure if it is any help at all.  However, it may serve to give you all a smile and a bit of a laugh on a Friday evening, if nothing else so I'll leave it in.

Good description Marina LOL.  I learnt how to do it by following similar instructions which I printed out.  After a few times, it's easy but if you don't use it much it pays to have that print-out handy. Only thing I'll add is that it pays to preview what you've done before posting it just in case something has gone wrong.

When CP taught us this I printed it out and sat it beside me. I'm fine with it on the computer but most of my forum time is on my iPad now.

GF I love your technical terminology. I can understand every word.

I made this vanilla paste today, it seems to be very yummy suggests you leave it for a week for the flavours to develope.  It made about 700 gms so that is such a saving I had 12 vanilla beans left over from my vanilla bean purchase over a year ago keep I the fridge they were still plyable.  I think I bought about $70 worth but have loved using them, vanilla sugar and two, bottles of vanilla extract in vodka.

Going to give this a go - when I buy some more vanilla beans.  Think I bought the last lot on the internet so will have to have a look and see what is on offer.
