When Jo was only little Kerry, she loved plain old boiled Brussels sprouts, the only child I knew at the time who would eat them. These are so much better.

Well Alayna doesn't like chocolate so she probably would love them.

I forgot to say that we had these the other night and all loved them. I have bought some more to make them again. Thanks Judy.

This sounds wonderful -I love Brussels sprouts.  Don't have and Air Fryer (hmmm - perhaps I should add it to my wish list?) however assuming that I could just roast these in a normal oven.

Sure can Deniser, I put the link to the original recipe for those who don't have an airfryer.

Sorry Judy, Brussels are the devils vege in his garden and I'm sure he adds something to them to make them just that little bit more yukky, so I apologise but I'm not trying this recipe!  :P

I am sure they are Judy, but I am not about to try them again to find out how good they are for me thanks.

I may have already mentioned this before (seeing as I just love  :P brussels...)

I had an op that went a bit wrong (long story...making it real short!) about 10 years ago and lost a fair bit of my blood as quick as the docs were putting it back in, anyway, there was no guiding light or anyone calling to me, so I came back to the land of the living after some 23 units were pumped into me. Once I was out of ICU and back to eating etc I anticipated the meals times with some apprehension. I could never guess what was under that funny green lid covering the plate on the table, sometimes not even once I'd lifted it!
I did, however, recognise good old brussel sprouts! I sat there for a while looking at them trying to decide if I really did need to eat or if I should just put up with the nurse moaning about how I should be eating bla bla bla!

Judy - I decided that seeing as all my blood was new, surely that would make a difference to my taste buds and so I stabbed one of those suckers and ate it.

It. Was. Horrible.  :o :o :o :o :o :o

Just how I remembered them as a kid.
Dreadful!
New blood did not make for new tastebuds!

So, I have come to the conclusion, that I do not have to eat them, doesn't matter how they are cooked, fried, battered, crumbed, baked, sautéed or fricasseed - Brussels are not on my "to eat" list!

I was looking at some brussel sprouts in the supermarket vege sectiontoday, trouble was it was a big packet and it would probably mean I'd have to eat them at least for 5 meals. So I just looked at them and thought I'd make a salad instead.

Yum!  Home alone tonight so finally got to try these.  Fruit market had a large bag for $2-99 which makes it even better.  I made the full recipe and had half with my dinner and think I might just have the other half for dessert.  I had a couple of tablespoon of flaked almonds which needed using up so threw them on top when I added the Dijon etc.  Will certainly be making these again
