I absolutely love spinach and ricotta pasties so was keen to give these a try. The taste of the filling was spot on and much less salty than the store bought ones. I did have trouble making the square shapes pictured in the recipe book as I obviously didn't seal and twist the top of the pastry properly and they burst open while cooking. For the remaining batches I just made them in the shape of a sausage roll which was much easier and froze them uncooked. My kids weren't keen on them though (too much green spinach!) but they will do nicely as weekend lunches for my husband and I. Rating: 5/5.

I love these type of pastries too emjrose but I was surprised when I went to link this that it was in the Children's Parties section.  The reaction from your kids is what I would think you'd get from most.
