Hi all,

I'm so happy to make your acquaintance - I received my Thermomix last week and am so looking forward to getting to know my new best friend!

I LOVE cooking, but life has gotten in the way the last couple of years, so I have found that I've lost touch with one of my biggest sources of enjoyment.

I'm now living part time at my mother's (she has Alzheimer's so I'm helping my Dad to care for her) and still working nearly full time, so while I might have ordinarily baulked at the price since I'm generally quite a frugal soul, my situation has me viewing this purchase as an investment that will save me a lot of time and sanity over the next bit of life's journey.

I've lurked a week or so, and I'm heartened to see what a lovely bunch of people you are. I'm looking forward to making some new friends who are just as enthused as I am about exploring what this super-cool appliance can do.

Hi dustbunny, welcome to the forum.  Best wishes to you and Dad with Mum's situation - he will need all the support he can get and I applaud you for what you are doing for them both.  The Thermomix will certainly help you prepare good, healthy meals for your parents.  You've picked up on how friendly and helpful this group is in just a week of browsing and you are dead right, it is an amazing place to hang out and make new friend whilst learning all you can about the TMX.  Good luck to you all.

I had originally called it a zombie bunny but because it ended up looking so much like dryer lint, I changed it to dust bunny (and I like the play on words, too)

Art & craft... another one of my passions that I haven't had the time to do much of lately
Oh well, there'll be time enough for that one day...
