Review Quinoa & Cherry Friands Tenina's Breakfast eBook pge 11
« on: October 16, 2013, 09:51:39 am »
These were easy to make, had all the ingredients on hand except fresh cherries so used canned.  I always worry when I see oven temperatures over 200 for cakes but I went along with it.  I removed the quinoa and almonds from the oven after 6 minutes though as they were dark enough for me.  I also removed the friands earlier than the 20 minutes but because I was doing 3 things at once, I'm not sure just how much less time I gave them.  They were starting to brown too much though.  Not sure now if this is why my centres were a little fudgy or whether this is how they should be.  They are certainly set but because this is a completely different recipe to what I have ever made, I am not sure what the centres should look like.  Very tasty though.

They look nice. It is so hard to keep up with all the foods I want to make.

Made these today, very moorish and so easy to make, I had left over egg whites from the ice cream I made yesterday.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

These look wonderful.  I have some egg whites left over from making vanilla bean ice cream so will have a look to see if I have everything else.  :)
