Recipe review Star Anise Ice-cream QFEC page 179
« on: September 11, 2013, 11:53:45 am »
The name intrigued me, I was out of ice-cream so I decided on this one.  Must say I love it - it only has a subtle taste of the star anise. I followed the recipe to the end of step 2 then used my ice-cream maker.  One thing I did do that isn't noted in the recipe was to strain the cooled mixture through a fine sieve before churning at the end of step 2 as there are tiny particles of star anise that I wouldn't want too many of them throughout the ice-cream.

You have been busy. This does sound nice.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.
