Hello & Help
« on: January 20, 2013, 04:50:15 am »
Hello all, I have just made the five seed bread dough out of the EDC.  The dough is extremely runny, is this normal.

Hi Animal999. I only made this once and yes it is very runny, just pour it into the tin and bake it!! It is quite a heavy dense loaf.

Thank you for the reply Greyhoundmum, I made the mistake of putting onto my thermo mat to rise. What a mess but finally got it into the bread pan.  Has been a disastrous day with the thermomix today. Started the morning by failing to make scrambled eggs, then my pizza dough has escaped out of the gladwrap that I wrapped it in in the fridge and then the bread incident.  Have yet to love my thermie.

I haven't made the five seed bread but I have done scrambled eggs heaps of times.
I usually beat two medium sized eggs in a measuring cup add enough milk to bring it up to 150mls and beat some more. Spray a little oil into two poaching pods, place pods in steamer basket and fill with egg mixture. Pour 500grams of water into TM add steamer basket and set on varoma for 13 minutes speed 4. The scrambled eggs always come out nice and fluffy.

Welcome animal999. That particular mixture is very unlike bread dough. It is very moist. How did the bread turn out?
You will find that quite a few of the EDC recipes need tweaks. Look in our review section and you will find lots of reviews and tweaks for EDC recipes.
