Yes, a particularly cold week here! The actual temperature is usually bearable, but the "feels like" temp is the shocker!

Brrrr  Jamberie. The ABC posted a picture of ice on a jetty on Lake Berley  Griiffin this morning. I must phone my brother tonight, he lives over there. That will teach him to leave the sunny West.  ;D ;D :D

I met Katj for a coffee this morning. Lovely company. Thanks Katj.

Had to make a dash to spotlight because I didn't buy enough backing fabric for my quilt and now have to have a seam in the back; I will concentrate next time. Glad to have another patch worker on here Mab.  I went to a big morning tea on Wednesday and they had all their quilts spread out and it was a great morning among all that fabric.

Booked GD11 into a cupcake (patty to me) decorating class for the school holidays so that will be a nice surprise for her. She loves cooking (in the thermie of course).

I'd hoped to have my quilt finished yesterday but not to be.    Instead went to visit a friend in hospital who had just had a hysterectomy and the results were not good so spent a lot of time with her.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Katj, up until now I have done the quilting but I must say it is very basic and mostly straight lines. I recently did one with old denim jeans and that was easy enough to quilt in the ditch. I can do the small ones but this latest is a full single bed size and is all applique so a friend with a special machine wants to do it so who am I to knock her back. I just love doing to top bit.

Sorry your friend is not well Mab.

Mab how lovely of you to spend time with your friend, I'm sure she appreciated it if she had bad news.
Troupie was my SS and I received lovely sewing gifts. They are treasured, but also used.

It looks freezing Chookie.

Suzanne I used to hate it when parents sent ill, children to school. So many of them just want the child out of the way. The poor little mites cough and splutter over everyone. Often there isn't room in the sick bay for them as so many others are in there.

I hope Lily is fully recovered. Also that you enjoyed your visit to the Swan Valley. There's lots of lovely places up there.

Looks very chilly at the markets by the way everyone's rugged up.

Glad Lily is feeling better.   ;D
