Have fun Cookie; I am hoping to see a picture of all the patchwork and wondered if the ladies do that while the men drive cars. Where are you staying.

I'll take my iPad,over in the morning troupie and try to get lots of photos of the patchwork stuff for you.

Today we pretty well completed setting up. Registrations start at 2pm tomorrow. I will take a photo of our goodies then.

The book was Upstairs at the Party by Linda Grant. Looked like a really good book.

I can't wait to see the secret stuff!

Got to play with the new TM5 today. The demo was great as we all got to help with the cooking. I like the idea of the guests actually getting to play with the TM5.
I liked that the TM5 doesn't walk when kneading dough. I'm not sure about the fact the seal can't be removed from the lid, and I can see cleaning the locking arms could be fiddly. I quiet enjoyed the touch screen and seemed pretty easy to use although the process is longer, but I think in time that won't be a problem.
I'm looking forward to my machine arriving so I can play some more.

Should we start a review thread for the TM5 so we can all go there?

Which menu did you do? I didn't know everyone could play? What was the noise like with the sorbe?

Gert I don't think there was a lot of difference with the sorbet, maybe a little more muffled but certainly not to noticeable.
I think a review thread is a good idea.

Oh blow the rain cookie, it knows how to spoil something that has been in the planning for so long.

Girls, we had asked MM for some new topics for the TM5, I'll check with him again and see what he wants us to do.  In the meantime I guess we use this thread for the time being for those wanting to do a review of their machine.  Deliveries should start rolling in soon I imagine.

Reviews of recipes are going to be tricky as each country will have their own basic cookbook.  CC has listed the UK contents here.  Time for some discussion with the other mods I think  ;D

I have been thinking of you all Jean with this rain today.  Can't believe it after yesterday. Hopefully weather will be kinder the rest of the week.
