Enjoy the peace Gert, he will no doubt want some nursing when he comes home ;D.  Hope there is nothing seriously wrong.

Finally got round to uploading DS15's other piece that was part of his recital last weekend. A beautiful Nocturne by Chopin 😃

Not happy Jan :( , went to doctor today so he could just check the stitches and got the results of what they cut out.....they didn't get it all :(. I'm having my stitches removed on Monday and will ask for a referral to a specialist. Sound like they going to have to cut more out.....:( :( :(

Dede that is the pits. My specialist cuts and then you have to wait in his rooms with a dressing on for a few hours while someone on site tests the margins to see if they have it all. It's called Mohs surgery. You do have to hang around waiting but it's better than what you have. A good idea to go for a specialist.

I read the report a few times to try and make sense of it. But it says the bcc extends to the deep and radial margins. I don't want the local doctor hacking at me again. And at least if I go to a specialist they can check for anymore

It sounds as though it is still in the edge bits of the removed piece. More needs to come out. Poor you.

I know. And that was what I was dreading. I just hope the next cut will get it all. I'm not looking forward to having it done again. But I want it gone

It's really hard to ensure that all of a skin cancer is removed as you don't want to cut a big hole in someone for no reason. It's a hassle that you need further treatment but at least BCCs only spread locally rather than metastisise like SCCs do if you leave them long enough

Bonsai sounds like you know a thing or two about skin cancer :)
The doctor was a bit surprised that I had one at 41 and living in Tassie all my life. How old was you when you got your first one Cookie1 ?

Not good news Dede but good news that the second procedure will be by a specialist.

Sorry to hear that Mandi but it's got to be done and hopefully he's a good specialist and that will be your last cut.
