I am so glad you showed some restraint. NOT!

Yay! Your link works.
I love your photos. They are amazing - I've never had the chance to drive through Queensland or Darwin.  The outback is spectacular. It brings back memories of our family holiday across the Nullabor.
Cookie, it sounds like you had a lovely day.
We started the day playing with the two baby ringtail possums we are babysitting, and then
I took the kids to see How to Train Your  dragon 2 at our local Art Deco theatre. The theatre is staffed by volunteers and they even have Haighs chocolates in their candy bar. We had not long had scrambled eggs for brekky, so I didn't buy any choccy. It was a great movie and I may or may not have shed a few tears.
I'm now sitting on the couch and trying to type with a possum snuggled up in my sleeve. I keep making mistakes - I even posted the wrong photo in a recipe review!

INAID your trip is fabulous. We've also found that if you drive above a specific speed the fuel gauge goes backwards.
We loved Camooweal. Did you swim at Mataranka? It's lovely and they have a lot of pet roos hanging round there too.
Thanks so much for the photos, they are lovely.

Cookie the problem with the car is we had a larger fuel tank installed and they haven't calibrated the gauge correctly. It stays forever full but once it drops to 1/4 tank it empties quickly. Lesson learnt fill up regularly!

Mataranka is beautiful. Miss Lil went for a swim we were all too cool to get changed into swimmers. She loved sitting on the step. We will definitely get in on our return. We will check out Parap markets this morning. Cousins wedding this afternoon.  Thursday afternoon the girls went sailing for the hens night and saw a pod of dolphins. Gorgeous way to see the sun go down.

We are having a wonderful trip. Cookie the food sounds great!

INAID my brother is in Darwin at the moment. Between the two of you I am feeling very jealous.
I hope you enjoyed the Parap markets. Don't miss the Mindil markets if you can make them. A meal out on the jetty is pretty good too.
Drive safely and keep enjoying it.

It certainly is. My brother rang me from there the other night and told me where he was and what he was doing. Talk about mean and rotten. I would never did do the same to him last time I was there.  ;)

Beautiful photos inaid, thank you for sharing.
Cookie, glad you enjoyed your day. We had planned to go but changed our mind. Figured I would probably find plenty and spend too much.

Lovely photos INAID.

I had some dealings with Centrelink this morning and that was fun :-)) :-)) Then to the bank to sort out an account and that was more fun.  Paid some bills, grabbed a bit of shopping and then home.

gorgeous inaid,  I need a holiday definitely somewhere warm.
day home today Lily and I made some lip gloss, a tutu and played a couple of board games all the while I think my head is going to fall off. The boys amused themselves which was good.
