Nothing like being prepared Chookie and it looks like you'll be doing some new clothes shopping before winter comes around again.

Just catching up on this thread now, since Im not supposed to walk around much, I've got my ipad and I'm catching up on everything.

DD, I'm so sorry to hear about your dog.  Really. It's  the kindest thing you can do for the poor little dog but then again, it's an awful thing,to have to do.  I lost my little dog earlier this year and I still miss her every day.

Katiej, I didn't realise you had had surgery, sorry.  I hope everything is ok now.  Take care.

Finally went food shopping with DD after 2 1/2 weeks ill. Beginning to feel a bit better after given AB yesterday but crashed after supper and back in bed now.  ;D Bliss.
Covered a turkey breast with bacon and bay leaves and string to roast tomorrow. Never roasted just a breast before. DD is not here on Christmas Day so we needed a festive roast dinner. DS will be very happy with any leftovers when he arrives, although we're cooking a big ham the evening he arrives and we have family coming over.  ;D

Matilda is so gorgeous...aren't we so lucky to have such beautiful creatures in our country   :)

Hope you've all been well, & have christmas plans under control.
I don't know where to start really.

I nearly killed my cat using flea powder  :o
Our border collie had an operation on a travelled grass seed & ear thing, then went missing for 24hrs....found him though...easy to see a find a dog with a big cone on his head.
DS completed his primary schooling, had lots of celebrations & won the sports award.
DD has been selected for a young scholarship program through Melbourne Uni...if she gets the required atar needed, she is guaranteed a placement & subsidies.
For the first time in a while, hubby has completed the hay season without losing any because of the weather gods!  Mother Nature has looked after us for a change.  He will now have the luxury of time off over the holidays  :) this is rare.
My candle sideline is travelling well and parties are being requested...that wasn't my plans, but will run with it.

I have 7 cupcake candles to make for tomorrow, last delivery of melts to a  store, then the wax pot turns off!!

We've had 2 weeks of too much celebrations & really look forward to my Mum having Christmas for a change this year.
My ideal on the  day would be slothing in my dressing gown & eating toast  ;)
.........EAT CAKE!

They look very nice Maddy. Beats lots of the ones you see in the shops.

We had friends round this morning for the exchange of Christmas gifts, coffee, food and a lovely chat.

Looks amazing Maddy.

We have spent the day ironing and are getting ready to pack the car.  Up to Perth tonight, then we drive the 12 or so hours to Newman tomorrow to spend Christmas with DD.

Beautiful maddy, I can see how your candle business keeps you so busy - the cupcakes and cake slices are my favourites.

Caught up with and exchanged pressies with Katie and Richard today. She's looking well although not moving the best yet.  Onto Morpeth, 2 sets of visitors today and Geoff's new remote is now chained to his bedside cupboard.
