Cookie, we are paid a set amount for each day we attend, plus travel costs.  I think I've pretty much spent my share already  ;D

Judy, yes my DH was very impressed that I wanted to think about it (though he knew I would get them in the end)  ;D

Just waiting now until it's time to leave the Hotel and take the car in.  Happy Monday everyone !   :D

I hope your thermomix isn't in hospital too long Chookie.

Today is my last day in this time zone. It was very warm here in Katherine yesterday afternoon and the evening was hot too. We will be out of touch for 2 days. The coverage between here and Kununurra is abysmal. Then we will camp south of Kununurra for the next night and we will be back in the WA time zone. I'm keeping my fingers tightly crossed that the old car keeps performing well. It is 88 years old but has been restored of course.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Pinch and a punch for,the first of the month. It is going to be 29 degrees here is Cairns for the first day of winter and the sunbirds are going crazy in my hibiscus trees.

DH and I are enjoying a week in Melbourne with youngest DS, DIL and 3yo GS. Lovely and relaxing but freezing without the heating on. Yesterday was sunny and we got out for a long walk with the dog and took GS to the playground.
Don't talk to me about Australia Post...our neighbours went away for 3 weeks, during their 1st week away they posted us a card from Hong Kong and paid extra for expedited delivery. They were home for almost 2 weeks when we received it. There are many flights per day going from Perth to or via HK, so why did it take more than 4 weeks!?
