Good afternoon/evening friends.
Good morning DJ and UK.

A very big day here Scotland are voting whether they want independence from the rest of the UK. It's going to be close.Big changes ahead if they do go it alone.  :-\

It is indeed, Denise.

The Proclaimers have been a favourite of mine for years . . . and this song, Cap in Hand, has been around since 1988.

and here it is with all the arguments for the "YES" vote . . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNCFR8SqioE

Whatever the result, I hope the outcome only brings the very best for Scotland!

Good Evening/morning everyone.  CC thanks, have been waiting here with baited breath to hear the final result of the vote.  At lunchtime it looked like the NO had won.  While we were over there people really felt like the YES would get through and we had heard of families split by which way to go.

Thank goodness it was a no. Being an island has always been one of our greatest assets.
We were all quite concerned in England and yet had no say.
Great that team GB carries on.  ;D

Good morning everyone, good news for all those in the UK who were against the split.  May it now be laid to rest.

Well said JD.
Unfortunately we've been left with a huge mess.
UKIP and the Europe issue could become the next divisive problem.

The modern politicians just don't seem to have enough life experience to make good choices and put things in perspective, and have the characters required to see things through in the proper fashion leading to weak leadership and disappointments all round.

Gets off soapbox.
