It is 7 am and 3.7 degrees. Pretty cold for February.
The garden at Invermay is very much past it's best. We are cutting back bushes and feeding the cuttings through the shredding machine. We use this to mulch the garden.
The garden at Cherokee is beautiful in Autumn.
Yesterday I also made some sugarless Fig Jam. Cooked figs in a little water, added Chia seeds. Didn't need any sweetener. Will keep in fridge and eat within 3 days.

When I did my SD overnight rye bread I decided to put the 2 loaves in one tin. I felt that it worked out better. It was a rye starter with Wholemeal spelt, wheat flour and some semolina. I really like it.

DH slices all our bread with the electric knife. That's his part of the bread making deal.

Will do Chookie. Today I've made a loaf of No Fuss bread with no seeds and white Bakers' flour. We are having friends over and I want to make some sandwiches and I'm not sure if they can eat seeds and stuff. I've also made a recipe from this months Taste magazine. It's a magic cake- Lemon and Raspberry. It's supposed to split into 3 layers when it is cooked and cooled. I've just taken it out of the oven so I can't cut it yet.
I've also made some Pistachio Shortbread. The recipe was in our paper today. It's very easy with the thermomix. If it works out I will post the recipe.

I like the sound of the shortbread, I love pistachios.  How did the magic cake turn out cookie?
