Balsamic Mustard Marinade
« on: October 27, 2012, 11:56:49 pm »
From Williams Sonoma, Grill Master

What I like about this, its ingredients most of us would have in our cupboards.

Ingredients

1/4 cup low sodium soya sauce
1/4 cup evvo
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
6 cloves garlic
2 tbs whole grain mustard, I used 1 tbs
1 tbs dijon mustard, I used 2 tbs
1 tbs brown mustard seeds
2 tsp grated ginger
Salt & pepper to taste

Method
Blitz garlic & mustard seeds
Add remaining ingredients speed 4 until combined
Taste, at this stage I added a dollop of honeym then combined on speed 4.

Marinade over night or at least 1 hour. I marinaded for 9 hours.

Use on 1kg steak.

Dh & DS loved this, I thought it was OK, but I prefer chicken & pork.
Dh & ds mopped their plates & dh mopped the serving platter too :)

Enjoy

Hi Halex is the low sodium soya for taste or health reasons? Does it make a difference to the overall sauce?

I use low sodium & no salt, just for health. The book said low sodium but any soya sauce would do.
