Not good news Mab. As my Physio says, these things happen when we grow up. Don't know if this helps but my father had both knees replaced and it was a huge success. He went from being barely able to walk to going for a jog most days. When he was in his 90s, his daily jog was only about 100 metres but he was still very active.

Djinni, I hope I am as active as your dad if and when I reach that age. :) :)   I still manage to get around ok but know it will need doing eventually.

Unfortunately DS1 had his knee replaced a few months ago without a lot of success. He got an infection in the wound and also had to go back and have the scarring cut.  He needs the other knee done and is a bit reluctant to do it.

Good morning everyone.

I've loved reading your comments Gert, I just shake my head in wonder at some people.  I'm glad we don't have any fussy eaters in this family otherwise who would eat all the goodies I make.

Chookie, I looked up your recipe and found it here Bess's Tomato Sauce, complete with comments from me.  :)  I must have made it at some time and liked it so will make it again next time.

Do you have a bumper crop of home grown tomatoes this year Margaret?

Yes CC we have plenty of tomatoes.  I only put in three plants, 2 large variety and 1 small variety.  They have all gone crazy.

Good morning everyone.

Thanks Chookie, I will look up your recipe.  I have always used the same one from my old PWMU book.  I bought this when I got married many years ago :)  I did make one batch from a recipe I found on the forum.

A visit to the doctor this morning to get the results of a knee scan.  It looks like I will need a knee replacement before much longer.  Not looking forward to that so I will put up with things as they are for as long as I can.

Supermarket shopping in the afternoon.  Since DS has been home my grocery bill has sky rocketed. :(
