Tips and Tricks / Help with yoghurt in TM5
« on: April 06, 2016, 11:41:50 pm »
Hello there :)
Its been a long time since I posted last but I stalk the forum almost daily still :) I would like to ask if anyone knows of a reason why my yoghurt turns out quite stringy in my TM5, its thick and creamy but its just a bit stringy which is off-putting :( Thank you
ps. I use organic full fat milk and organic greek yoghurt starter.

Seafood and Fish / EASY and very delicious mackerel pate- with photo
« on: October 08, 2011, 02:39:48 pm »
I am sharing my first recipe here and this is as easy as ABC. Also if you like mackerel you will find this hard to resist. It makes for a wonderful starter served in individual ramekins topped with a film of butter with melba toast or just enjoy it every chance you get with nice fresh bread, this is my fave spread ever.
I hope this goes ok

ingredients:
1 shallot
a few sprigs of fresh parsley (optional)
25 gr softened butter
200gr smoked mackerel
150gr soft cheese
2tbs. creme fraiche
1tbs creamed horseradish
salt and pepper to taste
lemon juice from half of lemon (optional)

add shallot and parsley to the bowl and chop for 5 sec. speed 5
Take the skin of smoked mackerel add all the ingredients to the bowl and whizz for 2sec. on speed 5 if you prefer a coarser pate like mine or longer for a smoother one.

Tips:
You can leave the butter and cream cheese out if you are looking for a lower calorie pate and replace the quantities stated with quark. Also leave out the lemon juice for a richer pate. I love parsley through mine but again this taste delicious without fresh herbs.
It freezes wonderfully, add a film of melted butter over the top of the pate grind some black pepper and freeze after its set.

Chit Chat / Big Crowd help
« on: September 13, 2011, 11:37:50 pm »
I need help everyone.
You might not know this but I am very successful Stampin'up! demonstrator and lead a big team of nearly 200 ladies. Part of my support comes in the form of monthly as well as quarterly  training days. The Quarterly ones a full day events and around 50 people attend. Ok  I am now also a demo for the Thermomix as well and I am dying to promote this wonderful machine to all those lovely ladies that need to eat and cook for their families. Our next meet is on the 16 October and I would love to serve something made in the thermomix to them at the meet, however this is where the tricky part comes in, I haven't actually got a lot of time available to me due to the tight schedule so whatever I will prepare it needs to be ultra quick, yummy, impressive and not involve a oven. any ideas?

Chit Chat / Bread HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
« on: September 04, 2011, 07:55:55 pm »
After a week of successful bread baking and cooking with my new thermie, today I made a loaf of bread that looks quite wrong. I mean it raise ok and it has the right texture not heavy at all but it has split on one side while cooking. What I have been doing wrong all of a sudden? I hope you can tell me. xx
ETA: Looking at this picture you might not realise that this is actually the side of the loaf (Bad angle). I used Issi normal bread and made rolls with half the dough and a smallish loaf.
