We certainly know when vegies and fruits are not in season here farfallina - the price is sky high I try and use seasonal produce 99% of the time these days to keep my food budget stable. I went through a phase of buying anything I fancied but came to my senses that it was a waste of money that we could do other things with.

Mmm, me too. Lately I haven't seen any bigger zucchinis around, ours are so small compared to yours farfallina.

Made this with pork fillet tonight. Used a 380g one for the 2 of us but made all the sauce. Steamed the vegies and potato cubes whilst I was preparing the meat and measuring out the sauce ingredients then popped the vegies into the thermosaver whilst I cooked the meat for 7 mins /100o/reverse, speed 1. During this cooking I browned the potato cubes on the stove top and it all came together in around 30 minutes. The large cubes of pork were well and truly cooked in 7 minutes, will check at 5 minutes next time. The sauce is delicious and there wasn't too much for the smaller quantity of meat. Thanks RoxyS.

Yes, where is Russell? Favourites are hard for me because I rarely do anything very frequently, I do Chookie's Chow Mein every few months or so and different soups all the time so they would have to be amongst my many favourites.

Hi shar-la and a big welcome to the forum. It is a wonderful place to be as far as having questions answered and recipes galore - glad to hear you have found it useful and look forward to your contributions. Will leave the bread recipe question for others who are more knowledgeable about it than me.

I meant to get back on this soup Jo, DH would choose this for his meal when I gave him options of left overs last week so he obviously didn't notice it had a completely different taste to our chicken soup. It seemed to improve with age too.

Now that is weird TMXer but gotta love your enthusiasm for cooking. Me, well when I am on holidays I want to be waited on and have a break from the kitchen but am always itching to get back and into it again.

Great bargain for anyone on here just browsing with hopes of eventually buying. It would be like parting with one of the children for me but if you are not using it........... Best wishes MyHenry.

Too true about retirement Cookie So pleased to hear you have bought yourself another bowl and yes, hide it for sure. Somehow I think they would both know you have it though, your excitement would give something away. Happy cooking.

I replaced my lid seal at around 18 months I think. Must try that tip with the old one Hannah (if I can find it).
