Every now and then Ral cleans my TMX 5 bowl. He cleans it with Stainless steel polish. What I have noticed is that for several weeks after this cleaning the bowl is much easier to clean after using. He polishes the blades as well.

Here I am showing my ignorance ... is stainless steel polish like silver polish or brasso or something different, I haven't heard of this before? I like the idea that cleaning with this helps with bowl cleaning for a while afterwards.

Brilliant Ral. I will have to do it....actually I will get DH to do it, I'll tell him Ral does it. ;) ;) ;)

Yes Marina, it is special polish for stainless steel.
Cookie, your DH will want to murder Ral, next time he sees him. ;D

Shame you don't live just around the corner CC as he would clean it for you. He also loves cleaning silver and has cleaned several of our friends pieces.

Hi All,
So I looked up stainless steel cleaner and discovered there were lots to choose from. So is the one Ral uses a paste or a spray? I think the paste variety cleaner/polish would be the same as White Lily or Amaze? I use Amaze on the sink and it truly is amazing and leaves some sort of polish afterwards, as you don't have to clean it as regularly because the water just beads off and nothing sticks to it much :) Must look at the lid and see what's in it.

Bogie, I will try and post a photo of the paste that Ral used. Also ingredients. He said the spray isn't any good. This one and the previous are both made in Germany. This one was bought at Bunnings. I think they would have a much finer grit than White Lily.

Thanks Chookie, I'll give the Amaze a go on the weekend and see how it goes. I cooked pasta bake from RC earlier this week and it's left a stain right around the base of the jug, so it needs a bit of TLC this weekend.

Good Bigie, let us know how you go.
