Hi everyone, I hope you are all having a nice weekend.
CC your cushion looks interesting, it must be a courser stronger thread than just your regular sewing thread, right?
i can't wait to see it finished, I would imagine it is going to take a while and strong fingers. You are very talented Denise.

Yes I did Trudy, I've been busting my boiler these past couple of weeks and with me being a night owl, every now and then I have a good sleep in.

We use upholstery twine for stitching Katj. Its really tough.Very hard on your hands and if I do a lot of stitching I use a leather glove.

Morning all.
Big day yesterday. Went to Edinburgh Tattoo in Melbourne with DD and GD who is learning to play the Bagpipes.
Massive crowd and loved the event.  DS who lives in Melbourne drove us in and picked us up. Then had take away from a fantastic Asian restaurant to celebrate DIL 's Birthday.
Beautiful cool day today.

We went to Edinburgh Tattoo yesterday too. thats why we came down to Melbourne. Great time, then went onto the Casino for dinner.  Today there is a music festival around St Kilda, so we will see that or go to the city.

My Thermomix,  Kitchen Aid, Pizza oven, Nu Wave 5 in 1, Spatulas, all brings love, laughter, happiness, and great food  to my kitchen.

I love watching Military Tattoos on TV, it would have been awesome to attend one. What time was this one held girls?

How exciting. Like Judy I love to watch it on TV. It must be so much more moving to actually experience the atmosphere with the music. I find band music inspirational. I even have a CD of the Perth Police pipe band playing. I was in the city one day and they were playing. I loved it.
A wonderful time for you all. Robyn do you have your children with you?

I had to rescue DS and family this morning as their car had broken down.  They had been grocery shopping and had milk, chicken and some frozen items in the car.  Turned out to be a cracked radiator and it was losing water.  I took them home and the food was fine.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Thank goodness none of the food had time to spoil Margaret. It would have made it an expensive car repair. It will probably be expensive anyway.

Hi friends.
A cold but sunny start to the day here.Walked Chance and now enjoying a couple of coffee.

It must have been wonderful attending the Edinburgh Tattoo Chookie and Robyn.

I bet your family were relived you came to rescue Margaret.I hope the car repairs aren't too expensive.

Just back from our weekend at the chamber music festival in Heathcote.  The weather was good to us, although mid 30s on Saturday and, as anticipated the food, companionship, music and wine (not necessarily in that order!) were absolutely fabulous - which is as well as we have come back to major problems at work (fortunately not insurmountable, but horribly time consuming).  Anyway, that's just the way of everything.  Looks like a lovely day today as well.

Looking forward to catching up with Robyn, however, sadly, my time will be badly limited.  Hopefully I will be able to get to her on the phone to warn her (must remember that she will be on QLD time not VIC time)!
