What's for Dinner Tonight?

Astarra, what a wonderful friend you have that was very thoughtful of her.

We are going out to dinner tonight with my brother and SIL, they are heading off to the south of WA in a week for a holiday.

I hope it is cool for them Margaret. But then it is usually lovely down there.

We're having a dish from the Better Homes Diabetic magazine tonight. It is very thin steak with a couscous filling and bocconcini cooked in a tomato sauce.

I cooked Pork Belly and served it with apple sauce, roast potatoes, gravy, steamed gen beans and carrots.

Astarra, I am sure you really appreciated that lovely gesture from your generous friend. Hope you are feeling better.
I was pooped after making jelly so we had cheese on toast cooked in AF.

We had chicken crumbed with almond meal mixed with a little Parmesan. It was very nice. I served it with Israeli couscous. We had it for the first time a while ago and it just seems like tiny pasta.

Last night we had Thai red curry chicken , yum . Made the Thai red curry paste early in the day . This is out of the basic book . Well we all enjoyed it 11yrs to 82 ! My DB decided this looked nice in the book so voila it appeared for dinner . Hardest thing was finding Keffer Lime leaves . So funny DM had a tree growing in the garden . Followed by Strawberry mouse DS 11 made earlier . Happy family .

We were 'given'  a baby Weber Q when we bought the van. DH has been talking about doing Piri Piri chicken in it for ages. Today is the day.

How did the Piri Piri cook on the new Weber Cookie?

I dugout a couple of lamb pies out of the freezer.Served them with mashed potato and steamed green beans,carrots and peas.
I've challenging myself to eat everything out of my freezer so I can buy a new one.This freezer has become a bit unreliable.I seem to have quite a bit of lamb to cook.I found two lamb shanks, lamb chops,two lots of rack of lamb,two packs of lamb mince and half a leg of lamb Will have to get my thinking cap on what to cook.

The Piri Piri chicken in the baby Weber was lovely Denise. We only did a small chicken.

Enjoy eating out the freezer Judy, we can sometimes find surprised in there.

I have a lamb leg cooking in the Weber Q as i type ... oh and big stuffed mushrooms
Have potatoes, pumpkins and broccoli ready to roast and carrots + fresh beans ready to steam, then I'll make gravy with the meat juices and vege water

It sounds delicious Astarra. You are obviously feeling a lot better. We had a bought roast chook and I did Vegies with it. We got home a bit late to do the roast beef I had out of the freezer.

Cookie, it is hard to pass theprecooked chooks.  They are only $8 at Coles and Woolworths. We prepare the Woolworths. Heaven only knows what they coat them with. One chook provides 6 serves for us plus the bones for stock.
Last night I cooked Chow Mein in TMX to reheat for lunch today and make some Spring rolls with the leftovers. I want to try the Plum Sauce to see how it goes. If taste  test is ok will post the sauce recipe. Mostly made in TMX.
