???
Does anyone have a fix for this? I have done all that the manual says (switching off, resetting, etc) but i am still getting a constant beep and the word 'open' in the screen. I have tried taking the jug, lid, seal apart and re-aligning, all to no avail.
fingers crossed someone can help.

I did unplug but not for long enough aparently!!!!! My rep just returned my call and said to leave it unplugged for about 20 mins. She says she does it all the time cos she is always in a hurry - so fingers crossed that she is right.

can you call ur rep again
YES ASAP - get it sorted so you aren't with out it for too long. I would try leaving it unplugged overnight but not sure it will do anything for you. Just worth a try while you are waiting. Good luck :-*

Morning Everyone
Thermi has gone on strike!!!!!! He still insists on not working, despite being unplugged overnight.
I spoke to my Rep last night and she is lodging a report this morning and I have to wait for somenoe to ring me. Poor Thermi. I can't believe that I have just finished a MAJOR cookup - all my sauces, rice, meals, stock conc, etc, enough food for at least two weeks, so Thermi might be thinking he needs a holiday up in Perth for a few days. I will miss him terribly and will have to become aquainted with the stove top again for a little while!!!!!!!!

thats bad news, i was hoping it would work for you this morning. :'(
by the sounds of it ur rep is very good

Glad you got all that cooking in before he went on strike Jenny - hoping he won't be away long.

Jenny go and give him a good talking to. Tell him it's raining here in Perth and he doesn't want to come over.
Seriously I do hope he is fixed VERY soon. I can't imagine anything worse. I'd have to buy bread etc again.

So, Thermi is having a holiday in Perth and I, in the meantime, am making porrige in the microwave!!!!! Two and a half years of bliss and now I'm back to the bad old methods of cooking breakfast - I don't half miss my green smoothie!!!!!
Thermi arrived in Perth of Friday afternoon and I had a phone call from Juri to say he had a arrived safely. I love how the people at Thermomix understand that our Thermis are our babies (come on, I know I'm not the only one)!! I still don't know if it is a big fix or a little fix and I won't find out until tomorrow now. Hopefully, Juri will be able to explain what went wrong and then I can pass that info on to all of you - you never know, it might be useful in the future if someone else has a similar problem.
I will keep you posted!

THERMI IS HOME ;D ;D ;D
Thermi has just arrived by courier from Perth. Apparently, at the tender age of 2 1/2 yrs, Thermi had gotten a little dirty around his speed dial so he needed a bit of a clean up. And, due to the fact that he is a poor, overworked kitchen slave, he needed a couple of small parts replacing.
For future reference, should this happen to anyone else, the total cost of the repairs was a mere $66. I am so pleased it was nothing terminal or expensive!!!
Thermi is back at the salt mines as soon as we get home tonight - can't stand that supermarket Almond Milk!!!!!!!!
Thanks everyone for your encouragment and support.
