At the weekend I tried caramalizing onions in the slow cooker. They turned out too wet so I drained them and finished them on the stove. I froze the juice for soup. I also sliced some onions and froze them in small packets.

I had my hair cut today and then a visitor for afternoon tea. My visitor brought silverbeet and rhubarb so I gave her tomatoes, onions & tomato relish.

Yesterday DS brought home half a very large pumpkin and a cauliflower. I roasted them and then made cauliflower soup and some pumpkin soup. My freezer is very full with tomatoes and premade meals so I will have to try and squeeze the soups in.

DD and I had fun making one of those rugs when she was young. I've no idea what ever happened to it.
During the weekend DS took a big bag of tomatoes and two jars of chutney to a friend and exchanged them for a big bag of onions and two different types of potatoes. A good trade but now I have lots of onions to cut up. No doubt I will be crying by the time I finish cutting them up.

Nice non hot cross buns Cookie.
Yesterday I made Apricot Chicken casserole, Lamb Chop and Vegetable casserole most of these are in the freezer. Today I roasted another tray of tomatoes and over cooked them but they still taste ok, I'll make these into tomato paste. All these tomatoes have come from just one bush and there are still more to come. I just want them to finish because I've seen enough tomatoes to last me forever. I also made 3 sausage roll / pasties today, 2 for GS and 1 for the freezer.

Katie I hope you are keeping safe, these fires are a big worry.
Yesterday we picked 3kg of tomatoes and took them to the op shop to sell. Most went while we were talking to the ladies on duty. We then did out weekly shop at the supermarket.
Today we picked another 3.5kg of tomatoes and sent them home with DS and DIL when they called in for morning tea.
This afternoon I have an appointment with the optition.
