I made these on Anzac Day and decided to add about 1/3 cup each of dried apricots and dark choc chips. Not traditional but very yummy. Thanks for converting Snappy  :)

Made these again today as some "travelling nibbles" for DD who was moving to Canberra to start a new job.  They're wonderful! Djinni, I've made a note to try the addition of apricot/choc chips next time... sounds very delicious! :)

I may be lucky enough to accompany DD to Canberra next year. She has a conference there. I will hopefully be able to catch up with my brother over there.

I love to visit Canberra. Don't think I would like to live there but it is an interesting place and central to a lot of other interesting places. It can be very beautiful .

GF at least he didn't move to Perth. Poor CP copes with some DD/DS away.

I think Canberra is a great place to live.  The winters are cold but at least she's moving here in summer :)

My DB moved to Sydney from Canberra a few years ago gf, we too wish it was closer- but then again it could be much worse.  And the Hume and Federal highways are so good these days.  Is she staying Northside or Southside?

Hi Jamberie... DD is in Kingston. I'm not too familiar with the geography of Canberra but I have a feeling that's going to change ;)

Yes... Remembering back to when I was a teenager, the drive to the ACT took twice as long as it does now . DD says its really hot down there today and unfortunately she has hay fever .... Hopefully that won't last too long.... She thinks its the pollen....

She will love Kingston GF (and you will too). Lots of foodie places, bars, cafes etc. not far to walk around the lake and the main touristy things are very close for when you visit (many of the major places have high quality cafes and restaurants). Ah yes, hayfever is a pain here in spring and we do have a high pollen count at the moment too. We have our air con on today :o
