When we shifted over a year ago, I culled quite a lot of cook books but am slowly but surely refilling the gaps in the bookcase.
I have the new Fab Flavours on every level, I got it right before we went to Tassie, and since being back I really haven't had much time to go through it. I do love Louise Keats new book (been out for a little while) called Sweet Nourish. Louise also has the book Something For Everyone which I love.

Since shifting to Invermay I haven't had time to organise my rooks. I get frustrated when I can't find one that I am looking for.

The Fabulous Flavour book is pretty new Judy. It is all Varoma or using all parts of the thermomix to cook. I'm hoping that it will be good for when we are in the van and don't have an oven. It has a bun and a bread recipe so will test those out first.

I love your books Chookie. I must check the Carbs one out.

I did remember that Judy, but then I forget things all the time so I can't question anyone else. 😃😃😃😃

Cookie, report on Good Carbs Cook book.
Good points.
Introduction into Carbs and their place in the development of human beings. Excellent.
Why we need Carbs.
Serving size of lots of foods and amount of carbs in each one and what 1 portion is.
Recipes are for 6 serves.
Bad points.
Recipes not at all inspiring.
Not many photos.

Don't waste $40 buying this one.

A couple of weeks ago I purchased a copy of "The Inspired Little Book" via Tenina's Insiders Club, because there is currently a 20% discount, but also because I have already made one or two of the author's recipes and like them.  The book duly arrived, I had a browse through it and loved a lot of the recipes in it so I have just purchased another two, while the discount lasts, for my sister and my friend.  If you are interested in alternatives to mass produced chemical cleaners, body products, etc. I think you will find one or two recipes in this book that you will like.

I've looked at that and wondered Marina. I think I will have another think. Thanks.

I also brought a copy of The Inspired Little Book Marina.  Have only had time for a quick look but thought there was several things in it I might make.

Today I finally got around to shopping for some linen for our new bed.  Bought 1 pure wool KS blanket, 1 waffle cotton KS blanket, 3 QS sheet sets plus 1QS fitted sheet, 1 QS valance and some odds and ends.  Then stopped at the Spud Shed on the way home to buy a few veggies.

Very exciting. Do you buy coloured sheet sets?
