Satay marinade
« on: January 04, 2013, 10:48:09 am »
I tried this out over Christmas, it was very nice. I did not skewer them just BBQ it as it was.  I adapt this from this website http://allrecipes.com/recipe/singapore-satay/

Ingredients
 1 large red onion
 2 large garlic cloves
 3 stalks lemon grass
 1/2 cup soy sauce
 1 tablespoon peanut oil
 1 tablespoon ground turmeric
 1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar
 1 teaspoon ground cumin
 1 teaspoon ground ginger
salt and black pepper to taste
 1 kg chicken tenderloin

Put onion, garlic and lemon grass in TM chop 5 sec speed 6. Add the rest of ingredient except chicken mix in 2-3 sec in speed 5
Pour over chicken mix well ,marinade overnight.
Cook in BBQ.

I use a different satay marinade to this. I must try yours next time we have them.

Think that kaffir lemon leave would give it a different taste Goldfish,  but let me know how it went. My lemongrass is also looking very sad but there is a couple of good ones hope the heat gives it a boost .
