Did something embarrassing today. During a concert at the nursing home I was one of 4 called up to stand alongside the female singer, she did assure us we wouldn’t need to sing. We did have to dance though and I haven’t done that for years. Geoff didn’t take his eyes off me and Mum, well she slept right through my performance LOL.

Good on you Judy . Decided to wash the car after lunch , it was cold this morning but very hot when I washed the car . Think that it was a good idea to have worn a hat . Soon I will have to meet the bus and take DD ,DS plus one straight to junior fire brigade training . No cooking for me as we are trying out the local rec dinner ( tonight is fish and chips ) supporting local community 😀 .

Judy that would have been fun. Not that I would be keen to do it.

K Atie it is important to support local things. They would never get anywhere otherwise. Apart from that you don't have to cook!

Has anyone noticed how much vanilla has gone up? I have a big jar of vanilla paste that I bought from Tenina some time ago, but it is half gone. I may have to try making my own, I haven't been very successful before.

Cookie, I soak the full beans in Vodka for a few months and then grind them up with a little sugar.

Katie, great to support the community.
Did a little shopping today. Then swapped some jam, sauce and eggs for 2 bags of Chook food.
Watered the veggies and picked toms and Zuchinni.
Lunch out.

Thanks for that idea Chookie. I have some beans that have been soaking for about 3 years. I haven't used them and you just reminded me that they are at the back of the pantry. I will check them and do that.

We drove down to Busselton today. All the jolly grey nomads are here doing the same as us. We hadn't booked and couldn't get into our normal park, tried 2 others before we got into this one. We like to walk down the street each day to buy our food, but we are about 13km from the centre of Busselton so we had to drive. It's nice here though and the beach is only a very short stroll away.

Gosh it must be teeming with caravans down there cookie. A pity you can’t walk into town as you would like but at least you found a site somewhere. Have fun!

Vaccuumed the house, changed the beds and did the laundry, I have the SC on with some meat and will make another casserole later on.
