Good morning everyone.

GD1 off to start her grad year of nursing in the Dandenong ED.  GD2 off to Deakin Uni in Geelong to study Criminology and Forensics.  Both girls are "home bodies" so this will be a big change for them.

It certainly will Margaret, for all of you.
Good morning everyone, a hot week ahead with the cool change not until Saturday.  That seems so far away.

I had an egg jaffle for breakfast, wasn’t sure of the timing for a soft centre but I managed to fluke it. SIL will be pleased I have cleaned it up and used it already.

Another really cold day here today. We had a sprinkling of snow overnight.

Chookie we usually sit by the fire in the evening whilst watching TV. I did find a jigsaw in one of our cupboards recently and have been piecing that together.

I would love to see a photo of a Jaffle Iron. Haven’t a clue what they are LOL

Another warm one here today.  Was 37 yesterday. Gardener coming early as it will be too hot later on.
CC, I miss the fire. We have AC at Invermay. Convenient but not the same.

Jaffle or Toastie irons are made from cast iron Denise, they can be round, square, double or single.  Mine has obviously been used in a campfire but the colour has no affect on the final outcome.  They are like the pie maker, you can put anything inside but my favourite has always been an egg jaffle.  Modern electric jaffle makers just don’t cut it for me.  I’ll see if I can post some photos here otherwise I’ll email them to you.

We travel with a jaffle iron too. Just the thing for a quick and easy meal over a campfire or on the gas cooker. We have all sorts of fillings including sweet ones. Apple slices, cinnamon and just a little butter mmm

Thanks Judy for showing me Jaffle Irons :-* :-*

Another really cold day here. I had to pop out to the local village this morning and got so cold walking around the roads. Came home to a warming bowl of homemade soup to warm me up :D

There's nothing like a good hot bowl of soup to warm you up is there, CC!
