So much fun I can't stop Chookie  :D

Here's your no-fuss dough (minus one piece that wouldn't fit in).  I'll let you know how it goes, it's just come out of the oven, didn't decide to make it until 8.30 tonight.

Update - soft and fluffy, perfect!  This one only needed a few minutes under the grill and I cooked it for 2 hrs.  I've frozen the small piece of unused dough, it should make me a small pizza when I receive the airfryer.

Judy,  good to see you having so much fun.  Did you make rolls and put them together into pot?  We ate some day old for dinner last night and it was still like fresh bread.  Think it was the bit of oil, German Grain mix and the cooking process.  I think a fruit loaf is next.

Yes, that's what I did Chookie.  They are very high so I think I could make them smaller for dinner rolls and freeze more of the leftover dough for other uses.

Yes, on high Denzenmum - I only turn the SC on once the dough is in it.

I understand from all this that there is no need to do two rises; just mix, knead, shape and put into lined SC. Sounds great for this hot weather in Perth. Now why did I lend my SC, but I am certainly looking forward to trying this when it comes back. Where else but on this forum would we all learn so many great ways to do things.

No need even to shape if making a loaf troupie - I just tip the dough straight from the Thermomix into the SC and it slowly rises and fills the whole bowl.

I have just realised that I only have a small slow cooker, do you think it would be large enough? How full is the slow cooker when you first put the bread in it please?
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

What's the capacity of your cooker Cookie?  Mine is a 3.5 litre. If I was to flatten the dough out in the SC, it wouldn't be 1/3 full but it rises more than the normal way we rise our dough.  The no-fuss measurements are pretty perfect, it stops just before it hits the lid.  The Vienna loaf hit the lid so if your SC is less than 3.5 litres, I'd keep some of the dough from that recipe back for a pizza.

The reduced size loaf also worked well but was a flat loaf.  The texture was good .  Cookie,  try a 1/2 mix and bake for 1 hour or a bit more.  I think with all slow cookers you need to experiment with the first loaf.  Also interestingly , it rises about 3 times the original dough size. This is more than in the bread machine.
