The thin and Crispy base (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3491.0) is the one I love.  I just double it and place everything in bowl and knead for 2 mins. I use 3 heaped teaspoons of dried yeast to the double mixture.  This makes 6 medium sized bases. DH and I share 1 pizza.

Last night I adapted Pete Evans pizza base. DH enjoyed it, but thought Travellers pizza base from taste is his favourite. I have made 4 different bases so far, friends really love the Pete Evans one. Last night I also used whey instead of water - just to use it up.
I will post that one - travellers I have adjusted to suit the TM, but forget to write down. So next time, I will be more careful.

Pete Evans Pizza Base.Makes 4 bases

250mls luke warm water or whey heated on 37degrees for one minute
2 teas yeast
1 and 1/4 teas sugar
1 and 1/2 tabs olive oil
475 g strong flour
1 and 1/4 teas salt

Place all ingredients in TM bowl. Mix togetheron 6 for 5 secs. Then  turn TM to closed lid position,  :: for 4 mins.
Take dough out of TM bowl and knead lightly together.
Lightly grease a bowl, and place dough in and allow to double for approx 45 - 60 mins. OR divide into four and freeze portions that aren't required. I froze 3 of them in individual clip lock bags.
When using frozen dough, take out allow to thaw and use as normal.
When using the dough, roll out to a 12 inch base.
Cover and leave to prove for 15 mins before using.

I chose this one for my first batch of electric pizzas - previously I only managed to get 3 pizzas from it but I made sure the dough proved well this morning and quite easily got 4 from this recipe.  Coolish day here so the first rise took 1.5 hours and once I had made the 4 balls, I put them covered in a 40oC oven for 10 minutes which gave me nice sized balls of dough to work with.

Excelent news Judy.  I don't think I've tried the EDC version yet.  I usually make the Jamie O ones when making my own dough.  :)

Another vote for the Thin and Crispy base (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3491.0), I'd have posted last night but the forum was down for a bit.

Sour Dough takes 6/7 mins.  To cook and is more like Turkish bread.  This was good in this case as topping was Middle Eastern.  I added oil and Yoghurt to mix.

200g active Sour Dough Starter
500 bread flour
1 teaspoon each,  salt and sugar.
1 generous Tablespoon of plain yoghurt
2 Tablespoons of EVOO
Enough warm water to make a soft dough.
Knead all for 4 mins.
Rise to double.

This makes 6 med/ large bases or 8 small.

Sounds wonderful Chookie. Now I'm home, I'll get my starter going. Thank you so much for sending it.

Has anyone made the 2 ingredient pizza base? This was on Pinterest. (http://pinterest.com/pin/225672631299018413/)

Sounds quite interesting. Original recipe is here (http://www.kidspot.com.au/best-recipes/Budget+23/2-ingredient-pizza-dough-recipe+2760.htm). It looks like it should be 1 cup SR to 1/2 cup greek yoghurt.

It sounds interesting MJ but seems to have had mixed success.  With the TMX to do the kneading though, perhaps it would work for our bases if someone is game to try it. As the recipe is for one base only, not a lot of damage would be done if it wasn't what we wanted.

I have used this recipe forever no idea where it came from but its about 20 years since I got it

1 cup warm water
add 1 teasppon of honey and stir
add 1 teaspoon of dried yeast and leave for about 10 minutes till frothy

put 400g plain flour in the TM ( I use Wallabys )
add about a tablesppon of olive oil
add water/yeast mixture

use  :: for 1.5 minutes

Turn out and shape into balls and roll out can be used straight away or left for a few minutes to kind of "soften" up.
I only get 2 from this but we like thick crusts, I also use this for calzones ( also freezes )
If I am making alot of pizzas I do two or three seperate water yeast mixtures going then mix them one after the other.

I've been using the pizza base recipe  in Theo's book. He recommends not letting it rise for any length of time, just a 15-20 minute resting time before you roll it out.

I found the dough a bit sticky  :-\. I did add extra flour which helped....anyone else have that problem?  Next time I will use a little less water I think.
Made into 4 smaller sized bases and docked the dough before cooking.

I cooked the cauliflower rice once and after a few mouthfuls yucko so I don't think as a pizza base it would be nice  :P

I have made one with grated potato as a base but have no idea where that recipe has gone.

This is Jamberie's recipe for a base.  See her photos & recipe plus sauce here (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=12205.0;topicseen)

Name of Recipe:     Fluffy Pizza Bases (with hard crust)

Number of People:  Approximately 3 x 30cm pizza bases

Ingredients:

Fluffy Pizza Bases:
  2tsp dry yeast
  1/2 tsp salt
420g baker's flour (although I'm told plain flour is ok too)
  10g olive oil
  250g warm water

Preparation:

Put all ingredients in TMX (preferably in the order listed) and knead 2minutes/

Place in a greased bowl and cover with clingwrap and place in a warm (draught free) place until doubled in size (in my climate I find the car is a good place!)

Divide the dough into 3 portions and roll out each one on a floured surface.

Top with your favourite toppings and cook using your preferred method (pizza oven, regular oven, bbq, etc).

Up until now I have been using store bought pizza bases as I do not have spare space to make the bases most of the time.  However, yesterday I had the chance to make my base and chose to use the one on video on Helene's site (http://www.superkitchenmachine.com/2011/12174/pizza-dough-recipe-thermomix-video.html).  With just that wee tang of lovely fresh garlic and rosemary it really gave the pizza a boost.  DH loved it and was trying his hand at tossing his pizza base instead of shaping it on the bench.  Fortunately, it neither hit the ceiling nor fell on the floor, but he did have some interesting shapes.  He was loving every minute.  We had pizza last night and he hinted heavily that, really, we should have the same base and make pizzas again tonight.  I am now 'pizza'd out' - but it was great to see the boyish enjoyment on his face as he was tossing his base around.  Worth the mess!

Marina, that is lovely.  My DH was spending a lot of time hanging around the kitchen when it was hot, so I got him working. Trouble is he makes an awful mess, and tries all the 'cheffy'things he sees on tv and lots fail. However he enjoyed himself so I didn't say a word. I know that as soon as it is cool enough he will be outside in his shed and working on the car again.
