3 Course Meals
« on: July 06, 2016, 04:03:43 am »
Hi all,

I am wanting to do a 3 course meal for some friends with the thermomix. Would love your ideas but would prefer no seafood suggestions please :)

Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I am not sure where you live, but at this time of year you can't go wrong with soup.  As I mainly follow a vegetarian / vegan diet I am probably not a lot of help with main course suggestions and there are so many yummy desserts on the forum I just don't know where to start, however, I know a lot of my fellow forum members will be along very soon with loads of suggestions and ideas for you to check out.

Hi and welcome to our forum, I haven't tried this recipe but it is one that consultants demonstrated for a while (maybe they still do).  You can use chicken tenderloins instead of salmon fillets but either way, you will have 2 of the courses you need for a dinner party.  Check out our dessert recipes, there are some great ideas there with plenty of reviews to help you decide.  https://thermoaffairs.com/2014/05/26/salmon-veloute/

I particularly like this dessert but there are many more of my favourites http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=6674.0

I like to do a roulade (particularly the one from Tenina's For Foods Sake), they can be prepared in advance and steamed when guests arrive or when guests are eating soup ☺ if you don't have Tenina's book, this one is good too: http://www.trtlmt.com.au/prosciutto-wrapped-chicken-with-creamy-garlic-sauce/

There are so many yummy desserts. One of my favourites at the moment is Milo Mousse.
I look forward to hearing what you decide to make!

Hi and welcome to the forum. If you have a look in the section called 'all in one meals ' you may get some ideas. Baf's chicken http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=5526.0
Is always nice. Perhaps a soup to start, there are lots of great recipes on here. Then for dessert, perhaps so ething you have made earlier in the thermomix or you could whip up this very easy Chocolate Banana icecream that is healthy as well as tasty. http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2996.0

I just thought of a couple of good 'all in one' meals you could try ... these use your TMX to it's full potential.

From Quirky Jo's blog there is Chicken and Cashews with Coconut Satay Sauce and Coconut Rice - it looks complicated and long, but it is really easy.

Another similar one, again from Quirky Jo Creamy chicken with Creamy Paprika Sauce - same comment as above

And finally, from Caroline W on the forum is Creamy Tomato Sauce with Rice and Vegetables

Even if you don't go for any of the above, they are worth trying out simply as great meals just for yourselves.
