I hope you had a good day Teddy  ;D

Hi friends.
Last day of the heat today. It starts cooling down for the weekend. Took an early walk with Chance. The farmer was dropping hay for the beef cattle in the fields. Gave him a wave as Chance and I walked past, he waved back. On our way back home the Sky Lark was singing away high in the sky.

I'm sure you will be pleased to see the heat go Denise.

Teddy looks so sweet. Does he enjoy puppy school?

It is lovely to get warm / hot weather, CC, but it is also lovely when it breaks and you can cool down and recover just a little bit.  Enjoy what the weekend has to offer, weatherwise and otherwise.

Hope Teddy had a good time at puppy school.

Poor Teddy, I hope he is enjoying his days at kinda.  Have you seen a change in him when he comes home Chookie.  Are you aware of what they're teaching him so that you can apply the same rules when he comes home?

Thank goodness you have a change coming Denise, something to look forward to. This is your first really hot period for some years isn't it?

Good morning everyone.

Morning all.
CC, nice to have a change from the hot weather.
Thanks for the lovely picture you painted of your walk with Chance.
Poor Teddy was a bit too boisterous for the puppies his age so they put him in with the teenagers. We are looking after him today and he is exhausted and sleeping a lot.
Judy, yes we are noticing better behaviour. He is not annoying the other dog as much. He is also learning to come when called.
It is cold outside today and I am cooking and Ral is reading. We had a big day yesterday, pruning the Roses and weeding.

Ah, finally time to put your feet up Ral.  Hard to keep you out of the kitchen Chookie but doing something you love is as good as having a rest.  Nice to hear the puppy is tired and giving you a break.

Yes Judy this heat wave is very unusual. It's forty years since these temperatures were reach in June. Today the temperature has dropped. A couple of rain showers too. Chance is enjoying the cooler weather.
Met our dog walking friend with her dog Todd this morning on our walk.

Morning all.
Still cool here with very little rain.
DD had final inspection of new house last night. Settlement Monday. All very excited. It is 1.2 ks from us and takes about 2 minutes by car.
They will probably be with us for a couple more weeks. It has all gone surprisingly well.

That's good Chookie. Sometimes having family in close proximity for any period of time can be a little hard. Everyone moves on and grows since you lived together before. I know when we lived in the bush and used to stay with Mum and Dad a few weeks was enough for all of us, much as we loved each other.
It  must be exciting for DD with another house. Close by if needed and far enough for everyone to be able to live their own lives.

Hi friends.
Another cooler day here 21c. Took a pair of secateurs along with me on my walk with Chance this morning.I've got fed up trying to keep out of the way of the brambles. They have become rampant in this warm weather. My legs and bare arms have a fair few scratches on them.
