Once we have an iPad it is hard to go without. I don't have the internet on my phone so use my iPad.

It only needed the glass replaced cookie.  The repairman told me there are 2 sections and I had only broken the first one (he is not an Appe employee) so maybe yor DH broke both parts.  I had bought a protective film for mine when I bought it and I think that held it together when I dropped it.  The second time I dropped it there were far more cracks in the screen.  Iím thinking of buying a mini IPad to carry around in my handbag instead of carting this one around with me every day.

Did it need any repairs Judy or was it a check over?
DH's ipad was dropped by him in its first few weeks. It was unable to be repaired as he smashed the screen. Apple sold us a new one for about Ĺ price and I put on a cover that was unable to be broken.......that's what they said!!!!! Its in a pretty poor state now but it has protected the ipad.

Yes, I just heard that it was 39 there. Take care Marina and others who are cooking!!

I've made a Classic Loaf to take to my brother who has shifted over from Canberra and a Lumberjack cake to eat at home.

Good idea Chookie.  I did half my walk outside this morning then the other half inside as it became too hot.  I dropped my iPad twice last week (never dropped one before) so I put it in this morning and picked it up on the way home after checking the price at 2 places.  I thought $95 was much better than $120-$130.

Thatís lovely of you to settle your Aunt in her new home Michele.  It may pay to padlock the display cabinet though, I donít have anything of value in our rooms to prevent any temptation.  I bought Mum some costume jewellery to wear, not that she has much of value anyway but you just donít have to worry if you do this.

We managed to fit a small existing cabinet in Aunty's room. She also has a tiny bar fridge. A chest of drawers with her huge TV  on it. We have put some pictures on the wall. Her son that lives in The States sent me money to pay a cleaner and put her things in storage until her grandkids can come get them. (brilliant not having to clean up too much). I have taken her winter clothes and a few tea chests of things so that I can rotate her photos, paintings and china dolls.
We both shed some tears when I left.

Yes Chookie you have converted a Paul Hollywood recipe. I'm naughty I tend to look at the recipe and just make it in the thermomix.
Take care in the heat today.

Mich that would be so nice for her. We did that for Mum. They love to look at the treasures. A smallish glass fronted cabinet shouldn't be tooooooo expensive.
