Looks delicious Chookie.   No cooking here today, too hot.

It looks very nice Chookie. Our Lumberjack Cake was very nice and light. It was from Poh's new book. Basically dates mixed with boiling water and a little carb soda, left to soak then semi pureed. A normal cake with this added and bits of fresh apple. It definitely got the tick from DD and DH.

Delicious breakfast Chookie. The bread sounds very interesting.

Your cake looks very moist Cookie.

Nice looking cake Cookie.

This will be the second year that no one has offered me any plums.  Looks like I will need to buy some if I want some jam.

Eggs on toast and cake - I really shouldn't read this thread, way too tempting. They both look delicious.

You have your cooking mojo firmly on Chookie.

Cookie the cake looked nice.  Most lumberjack cakes I have had are very heavy so this looks a nice change!

Think I have made enough jam for a while, although people are giving me more Plums.
Made an over night SD loaf and because it was so hot yesterday I put it in the fridge overnight.  It doesn’t look very happy this morning. Will leave it on kitchen bench until it starts to behave.
Leftover Risotto and salmon , and marinated Feta and spinach omelette.

Made SD English muffins. These need to be started previous day. Made them too big and were difficult to handle.  Cooked them in electric fry pan as I wanted to test temperature setting. I write setting on a card that I pop into stored Pan.  I also do this for the various bread tins. For these I write the recipe or the weight in flour on the card. Memory not as good as it once was.

I can relate to that Chookie, there has been many a time I have found ingredients still on the bench after the dish is in the oven.  :-))

Sometimes when I make the Classic loaf I find the SD stater sitting waiting to be added. Fortunately the mix is a bit weird without it.

Just making a Classic Loaf today and not much else as it is warm and we had a lot of lovely surprise visitors this morning.
