« on: January 04, 2013, 12:32:26 pm »
Just wanting an opinion of what I have done to my thermomix.....the blades wont spin and the black circle in the base now moves freely yet the motor still runs?? Has anyone else has this happen? I was cooking rice when it happened.

I'd call your consultant immediately, or failing that, HO.  I really have no idea but it could be that you need new blades perhaps . . .

Have you been allocated a new CL? You should have been. It sounds like the blades to me. If you are close to HO in balcatta you can go in (call first as your CL should do that for you) otherwise they can sometimes diagnose over the phone and will send you a new set of blades as long as it is within the 2 yr warranty period free of charge express post.

Sounds like you've overloaded the blades and their safety feature kicked in so that they broke and not the machine itself. You'll need to get new blades.
Good luck
