I think the Bay leaves are for the small things like mites. It is possible to make up a mixture of herbs to put in the nests.
Spent afternoon in the garden.

DH made the bed in the van the other morning while I was having a shower- in the van. When I yelled that my towel had disappeared from the ensuite I was told to 'look.'

He was very proud of his 'motel towels.'

No Margaret, it was Mums. I've had it in both our last vans. It's useful if it gets especially cold during the night and looks lovely. The van decor has to go with blue!

A day tying up our garden . DS 12 got his go cart out and helped all day , picking up dead trees, branches grass cuttings weeds more weeds . He even pruned some crab apples , yikes , DH idea that one , I tried to hold it together and praise him . Dug over two raised veggie beds that I weeded then added some compost too , all prep for some veggies to go in soon . We have not had any thing in them for winter but summer time would be good . Our friendly tiger snake made an appearance again , big mistake , let's just say it will not be getting anymore eggs . Sadly we lost a chook this morning , just knew it was not right yesterday. They are getting on . Love my eggs and unfortunately it was one that has been laying . DH mowed and whippet snipped , helped DS trim the trees .

A busy day in the garden Katie, spring makes us want to be out in the garden after a long winter.

That was a  big day in the garden Katie.
A couple of weeks ago I planted some potatoes in a huge pot.  It cost more for the potting mix than I will ever recover in potatoes but it will be nice to get some fresh new potatoes for salad.

Looks like there would be 3 of us running from the snake.
Mab, potatoes from your garden will be beautiful.
Cookie, the van looks utterly luxurious. Beautiful quilt.

Thanks Chookie.

Make it 4 sprinting from the snake, I'm petrified of them. If I was ever bitten I would die from the heart attack I had. Dad (when I was young) and DH have always said 'keep an eye on it while I get something to dispose of it!!!!!!'
Who wants to do that?

A brave person cookie!  Easier said than done, our first instinct would be to get away from it.

I can tell you they are not my favourite at all . A long time ago I was dead heading the agapanthus and a snake came out , I jumped so far and on to the bull bar of the Ute screaming , must have looked very funny . Try to be bereaved in front of DS but he was quite scared . Yes still tired after huge day in the garden DS did not talk all the way to the bus this morning, he said I am tired , oops a whole week of school to get through .

An early night for DS might be in order tonight Katie, it's so hard concentrating when you're tired.

I am spending the day cleaning out my sewing room.  There is so much "stuff" in there that I will never use.  I need to find a sewing group that can use lots of  patchwork fabric as well as other sewing items.
