Love my thermomix and use it all the time.  Originally had a TM21 (got it in 2004), have been the proud owner of a TM31 since October 2008.  Love how easy it makes it to make healthy, tasty food, and avoid wheat without losing flavour!

As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

The way I got involved was trying to prove that the Thermomix was not as good as it purported to be. I could not find one single negative comment for it.

Didn't know you were joining up Spanner - how hilarious are your demos going to be ;D ;D ;D What a pity you don't live in Adelaide - I'd get you and some friends in just to have a laugh.  If personality sells machines, you have got it made. Good luck.

I try to overcome the negative of the price by comparing with a good notebbok computer or digital camera - which will both be out of date in a few years time. I do have one more negative and that is meringue - I have not tried the heat method yet but do feel that egg whites need a volume of air and although the meringues are not bad they do not have the volume of air to make the same quality and quantity I could make with my Kenwood balloon whisk. I will try the heat method next time I have spare egg whites but have little hope to achieve same results as using AIR!!

My personality  :P ??....god help us if we relied on my personality to sell machines  :o !!!!

I didnt know I was becomming a demonstrator either but the air of excitement, the allure of the big dollars, the idea that one day I too could be like Dr. Geoffery Edelsten and own a football team and a pink helicopter just struck me as a fairytale begging for me to come along for the ride!

Any way I feel that reality has now set upon me and I think I have a parcel waiting for me at the post office today..... not sure if it is the business pack or the actual machine of joy and blisstopia.

Im sooooo excited I'm shaking like a dog passing razor blades.

Shakingly yours,

Spanner

spanner...you can make meringue in it but not from the recipe in the EDC....Tenina has created a way to do it, Ive seen with my very own eyes that it looks JUST like proper meringue...just cant remember how she did it! but it did involve heat
