Great tea cake. Made it yesterday and it is all gone. Very moist. Hit with DH.

I love this apple tea cake.
I just increased the vanilla essence to 1 tsp of vanilla extract.

It is yummy isn't it Maddy.  I whip it up whenever we have visitors coming and it is always a hit.  I will have to post my new version of this cake with rapadura, spelt flour etc soon.

P.S - The photos are just beautiful Maddy! Well done!!!

Another great little number - thanks for sharing.  Really wonderful pics too.  Think taste must be good for training in food photos?

Made this for morning tea using Brazen's idea to chop the apple in the TMX first. I had to cook mine a bit longer but I think the oven wasn't at the right temp. (didn't have my glasses on !!) I used 2 very tired & sad red apples & they were lovely. Thanks Chelsea.  :-*

Glad you enjoyed it Jan.  I must admit I have started chopping the apples in the TMX when I am in a rush.  It doesn't look as "rustic" but still tastes the same.  :)

Just wondering if someone was to post a pic of a recipe that originally didn't have one, like Maddy has just done here...would it be possible for it to be posted also with the original recipe - rather than having to scroll through all the pages to find a pic?

That's a great idea, and the photo can be tributed to the photographer.

Great idea.  I'm guessing that the moderator of the thread would have to do that as Maddy can't modify my post and I can't access hers.  :)

I think I should ask Maddy's permission first.  I'll send her a PM.  :)
