I'm doing the opposite while we are away.  I refuse to get out of bed until 8am!  That's a good sleep in for me.  DH crashes round the van, has his breakfast, reads the paper online but I still pretend to be asleep.  At home he gets up.

Hi friends.
A sunny day here today but still very cold. After the heavy rain last night poor Chance got plastered in yucky mud this morning when on our walk.

Hi friends.
A sunny day here today but still very cold. After the heavy rain last night poor Chance got plastered in yucky mud this morning when on our walk.

It would be so cold for him having the mud washed away off. It was about 39* in Perth yesterday and I think something similar today.  We are about an hour from home.

A lovely sunny day here today.
CC, that is very nice for you.
It is warming up here again.

Yesterday had a long discussion with our gardener about fermented foods and drinks. With the Kombucha, there seems to be 2 camps . The first is like Marina where you make a new batch as needed, using some of the previous batch.
The second camp , like Astarra, , continuing batch, tops up the existing batch as it is used.

There is also a difference in making Kefir.
Mad Milly supplies a container to hold the Kefir grains.  (I use this) Others mix the grains into the milk and then strain them out.

After a couple of really hot days it was quite nice here today. I expect it may warm up though with the cyclone up north. It usually does.

Just finished my week's cooking spree, now it's on to my monthly accounts for the business.

Warming up here - 30 at the moment and I can't put the ceiling fan on because it blows all my papers around  >:(
