I made this last night. I don't usually use the dishwasher but was inspired to after this!

Everything has come out shiny and clean and smelling non-offensive. TM looks good too :D 2 Thumbs up Bron, thanks!!

Looks good Bron, I'm going to give it a go.  I don't have any rinse aid in stock though, as I always use white vinegar as the rinse aid.  So maybe I'll try it with all vinegar?
As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

I thought the same thing as you Caroline as I also used vinegar as a rinse aid (use it in the washing machine too instead of softener) so it will be interesting to see how it goes with all vinegar.  I actually went out and bought some blue rinse aid to follow the recipe to a T but will revert back to all vinegar if it goes OK for you.

The rinse aid I bought was like $1.50. :) And it looks like enough to make at least 4 batches.

I am about to unload the dishwasher again and see how it went this evening :)

What a bargain Rowyfo - I paid almost $5 for mine!  An enjo rep once told us that vinegar in the dishwasher and washing machine would help keep the internals nice and clean with no build up so I have been using it for many years now instead of rinse aid and fabric softener.

That's great to know judydawn - i never use softener or rinse aid (is that bad???) - but I'll add some vinegar now.

And did you know ;D that you can double the amount of your vinegar for free!  I read it somewhere so tried it.  I only buy the generic brand 1 litre bottles of vinegar for the washing machine, tip half out into another bottle, fill both up with water, leave a few days and you will have pure vinegar again.  Don't know how this works but I do it - 2 litres for the price of 1.

I gave my DD a smell of Bron's dishwasher liquid today and she said "OMG I could wash my hair in that!"  You wouldn't by chance happen to have a shampoo recipe would you Bron :P :P :P :P :P :P  And what about one for the washing machine!!

Hi just recently picked up a book on making skin care items out of plant based ingredients - although I haven't had a chance to try and convert any of them, but some look simple enough.
When I get to it I'll post them.

How's this - today while I was out and about trying to get some last minute numbers for tomorrows class and picking up a few odd bits and pieces I stopped in at the Milawa Olive Shop (if you come to NE Vic please let me know and I'll point you towards some fantastic places) and in there they had VINEGAR CULTURE or "MOTHER" that you can re-use over and over again to make your own!  Add red wine and make red wine vinegar etc.... I was blown away, especially after our little chat about it.

So there you go!  ;D
